We are also capable of providing canine reproductive management. As we do not function as a small animal hospital, dogs that are presented to us should be healthy and be established with a general practice veterinarian. Dr. Luznar will see dogs on a referral basis to provide specialized techniques for breeding management. We do ask that a current health report with proof of vaccines as well as registration information is shown at the time of initial examination. We do offer the non-invasive Trans-Cervical Insemination (TCI) for intra-uterine deposition of semen for breeding dogs. It is mandatory for frozen semen inseminations, and recommended for some with cooled, shipped semen. It allows successful breeding without general anesthesia and abdominal surgery. The Equine Reproduction Center of Central Florida is approved as an AKC semen freeze center and storage facility. The services that are provided include, but are not limited to the list below.

FEMALE DOG PROCEDURES:

  • Determination of most fertile period
  • Vaginal Artificial Insemination with fresh or cooled, shipped semen
